Investment in data centre construction in Ireland is expected to reach more than € 9bn by 2021 , according to predictions by Host in Ireland and Bitpower . Today , there are already 46 data centres in the country , with Amazon , Google , BT and Facebook all having built facilities . Thanks in part to a cold climate which reduces cooling costs and the burgeoning renewable energy industry , the Irish data centre market is set to continue on its upward trajectory .
