World-first experiences Cookson’ s trips are entirely bespoke, meaning there is no typical process, agenda or plan. Instead, says Henry, clients typically come with an idea, a location or a moment they want to create for themselves, their families or their colleagues. He and the team do the rest, planning logistics, helicopter travel, documentation and – in some cases – working with local governments if locations are particularly inaccessible. That’ s unless clients are more spontaneous.“ There was a volcano erupting on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean,” he recalls.“ My message to the client was‘ grab a bag, we’ ll make it happen’. We ended up organising a helicopter to see the lava flowing into the ocean, laid on a boat and had time for a picnic on the island.” Clients task Cookson with planning transformative and wellness locations, world firsts, safaris, rare destinations, family adventures and more.
