RISE OF THE WELLNESS YACHTS

Pity poor yacht designers. You build a luxury craft designed purely for relaxation and calm, and there’ s always someone trying to‘ out-wellness’ you. In this instance, it’ s Amsterdam-based firm Dutch Design ' s founder Scott Blum, a lifelong yachtsman with a burning desire to live well at sea.

The result of that vision is Sea Rover, the world’ s only wellness-first yacht from the pen of award-winning designer Bernd Weel. Each of its 42.5 metres is focused around health and relaxation, including minimalist interiors, floor-toceiling windows and the use of natural materials like wood and stone.

Between sunbathing sessions, guests can also use a gym, jacuzzi, sauna and plunge pools, as well as a dedicated massage area. When they’ re done? Handcrafted mattresses from bespoke bed company Savoir – longtime provider to the Savoy Hotel – wait in the bespoke cabins.
