THE BRIEFING | ITINERARY
I MOVED FROM LONDON TO STOCKHOLM 18 months ago, and it quickly felt so welcoming. It’ s a city that makes space for people, including business travellers here to lead, decide and deliver. Stockholm is innovative without being chaotic, accessible without losing its edge, and built for leaders who value pace and clarity. It’ s also one of Europe’ s strongest scale-up ecosystems, often referred to as the unicorn capital of Europe. You’ ll even hear it called“ Silicon Valhalla”, a nod to the Nordic model of building world-class companies with quiet confidence, strong digital infrastructure and a deep talent pipeline. I live on the island of Lidingö. By car, we’ re about 12 minutes from the city centre, but the atmosphere is calmer, greener and restorative. One cultural must is fika, the Swedish ritual of taking a proper coffee break to give space for better conversation and faster trust. Stockholm is at its best when you act like the locals: focus deeply, fika seriously and use water and nature as part of your rhythm.
