Business Services – leading a team running technology solutions across every time zone Orange operates in. That breadth of experience and consistent performance made her a natural choice to steady a business that was in need of direction, and she was appointed CEO of Orange Business Services in January 2022.
The strategic thrust That same instinct – refusing to be confined to what an institution expects of you – now runs rich through how Aliette runs Orange Business. She inherited a company that, for decades, simply sold connectivity: reliable and necessary, but commoditised. Her first move was to insist Orange Business stops thinking of itself as just a telco.“ Enterprises will need more than ever trustworthy digital partners helping them in orchestrating their digital infrastructures, advising them in their risk management and supporting them in building the right level of resilience and reversibility. That’ s typically what Orange Business is doing as a Network and Digital Integrator,” Aliette wrote in 2023, outlining a strategy built just as much around cloud and cybersecurity as network reliability. She has moved Orange Business closer to the IT world, competing less with rival network providers and more with the systems integrators that had, until then, owned those spaces. Today, Aliette leads Orange Business’ s response to one of the European business world’ s most gnawing anxieties: digital sovereignty.
