AS THE WORLD CUP’ S sole technology partner, Lenovo will be in charge of delivering technology solutions and services to billions of fans and all 48 teams worldwide.“[ This partnership is ] an opportunity to demonstrate how Lenovo’ s full-stack portfolio— from devices and infrastructure to AI-powered solutions and services— can deliver at the highest possible scale and under the most intense pressure,” Jeff Shafer, Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Chief Communications Officer at Lenovo, tells Fox Business.
“ If our technology can help power the world’ s biggest tournament, it can help organisations solve their toughest challenges anywhere.” Lenovo also plans on supplying the event with a huge network of tech
solutions, such as an AI intelligent command centre to provide daily insight across tournament operations and the integration of‘ digital twins’ of venues to make real-time decisions in and around event spaces and optimise the experience. Most recently, FIFA and Lenovo have announced the landmark achievement of Football AI Pro, an AI-powered system that will bring unprecedented access to millions of data points and more than 2,000 performance metrics for every team participating in the event. Coaches, players and analysts will have access to the data produced, allowing them to workshop strategies to level the playing field against clubs with larger resources like France, England and the US.
