THE BRIEFING
THE SILENT SHUTTLE
Luxury can mean many things to many people. Craftsmanship, design, exclusivity – they’ re all great, but what about time? It’ s yours. The long-promised era of advanced air mobility has quietly transitioned from a venture capital playground into an urban reality. In Manhattan, Joby Aviation’ s all-electric S4 aircraft recently completed its Electric Skies tour, lifting off from JFK and touching down at the Downtown Skyport near Wall Street in a crisp seven minutes – bypassing a two-hour gridlock with zero-emission ease. Meanwhile, Dubai has achieved technical completion on its flagship, four-story vertiport at its international airport. Built to process 170,000 passengers annually, the high-volume hub transforms the airport-to-boardroom commute into a seamless vertical hop.
NO SHORTS PLEASE, IT’ S BUSINESS
Who better to finally end a debate on office style than CEO and President of Ralph Lauren, Patrice Louvet? LinkedIn News Europe recently caught up with Louvet, who explained that when it comes to work style, he keeps it classic: no shorts, prioritising style and what works, and staying authentic. After consigning shorts to the home only, Louvet set out several other workplace fashion rules. Have a last minute big meeting? A navy Purple Label suite, white shirt and tie is in. Travelling should always be smart casual and everyone should own a good tie for work. Thankfully, despite running one of the world’ s most recognised fashion brands, Louvet often only musters smart on top when on Zoom calls – just like the rest of us.
