He will lead Diageo through market challenges with operational rigour, innovation and growth focus, creating shareholder value while building on the strategic progress made under interim leadership.
Juvencio Maeztu, with 25 years at IKEA and seven as Deputy CEO, leads purposedriven, entrepreneurial growth. He takes over from Jesper Brodin, who served eight years as CEO and transformed IKEA into an omnichannel retailer focused on sustainability. Juvencio brings considerable retail experience that will help drive IKEA’ s future vision.

Doug McMillon, Walmart’ s longtime CEO since 2014, retired on 31 January, after leading a major transformation into a techdriven retail powerhouse. John Furner, who has been at the firm for over 30 years and has led Walmart US since 2019, will inherit and continue to evolve his legacy of growth, innovation and digital expansion.
GSK has appointed Luke Miels as CEO. He succeeds Dame Emma Walmsley, who transformed the company with a focus on specialty medicines, vaccines and R & D renewal. Luke, with previous success in building GSK’ s specialty portfolio, was chosen to continue growth and innovation as part of a long-term succession plan.
