THE BRIEFING | ITINERARY
DINE
Pio Pio 8 Hell’ s Kitchen is my superlocal suggestion. It’ s a Peruvian place with great vibes – designed by Sebastian Mariscal Studios, its lighting design was recognised at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, but I’ m really going for the food. It’ s a great Latin American experience, really well flavoured, with every dish having its own unique taste. Both the chicken and fish options smash it.
For high-end dinners there are so many options in New York. I love hosting people at Tao Downtown for the Meatpacking District. It’ s a subterranean Pan-Asian restaurant, with multiple levels, a nightclub and gorgeous, unique interiors.
It might be a bit controversial, but sometimes at the end of a long work day you want to take clients to a place that is loud and lively. For me, that’ s La Esquina in Soho. It’ s a really cool speakeasy that you enter through the kitchen. It serves great Mexican street food, has good music and is really unique.
