E FASTEST E ENGINE ON EARTH
20 YEARS AFTER its DieselMax set the diesel land speed record at Bonneville, JCB returned to the same salt with hydrogen. On 12 August the Hydromax averaged 406.320 mph( 653.9 km / h) across two runs, claiming the FIA world record for the fastest hydrogen vehicle of any kind. Its twin engines are uprated versions of the unit JCB builds for backhoe loaders, making the run less a detour than an advert for the day job.
