THE BRIEFING
THE SKY-HIGH SUITE
It’ s a legitimate question: how do you make Emirates any more luxurious? With shower spas, private cabins, and " zero-gravity " seats already standard, President Sir Tim Clark is now eyeing the final frontier of aviation privacy: the en-suite. Speaking at the 2026 CAPA Summit, Clark confirmed the carrier is developing fully private bathrooms for its upcoming Boeing 777X‘ Halo Suites.’ It is a calculated move to de-commoditise the cabin as competitors close the gap between Business and First. While the airline’ s current‘ Game Changer’ fleet offers floor-to-ceiling doors and virtual windows, integrating private plumbing into a single seat footprint is, according to Clark, the only way to keep the product from‘ going stale.’
DIMON’ S DISPATCHES
In such a busy corporate environment, you can’ t expect the traditional quarterly reporting cycle to cut the mustard. And someone has told JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. In a letter on LinkedIn, Dimon launched‘ From the Desk’, a new forum for the bank’ s senior leadership team to share insights and thought leadership that, he says, the firm is frequently asked to discuss. Through the forum, the bank’ s leadership team will provide perspectives on " public policy, economic trends and other critical issues facing our company and the world”, says Jamie. They’ re themes that dominated Dimon’ s recent shareholder letter, a dispatch in which he discussed US inflation and the impact of increasingly fraught geopolitics.
