THE BRIEFING
A NEW WAY TO TRAVEL FOR BUSINESS
Vertical Aerospace has introduced Valo, a new electric vertical takeoff and landing( eVTOL) aircraft which it plans to bring into commercial service as early as 2028. Valo seats up to six people and will operate in cities as a flying taxi, carrying passengers between destinations at speeds of 150 mph and with zero emissions. It has been developed in partnership with Honeywell, Syensqo and Aciturri.
City travel is a significant problem for time-poor executives due to unpredictable traffic, complex logistics, potential safety concerns and pressure to be punctual. Research from Harvard Business Review shows a strong correlation between frequency of business and a range of physical and behavioural health risks.
