The annual Gold Key Awards are as reliable a barometer for what’ s hot in the hospitality industry as there is, recognising the best in design and function, from lobbies and guestrooms to bars and resorts.
Sustainability and socially conscious design was high on 2025’ s agenda, with Populus Denver – the first carbonpositive hotel in the US – claiming the top‘ Eco Conscious’ spot for its biophilic design, use of low-carbon concrete, smart energy systems and‘ One Night, One Tree’ programme that sees a tree planted for every night a guest stays.
