WHAT WE THINK IT IS No one outside Jackson Square has seen the device, but the leaks agree on a shape. It is screenless and small, worn on the body or set on a desk, listening and watching rather than waiting to be tapped. One report has it moving, with tiny mechanical gestures meant to read as almost alive. OpenAI says the design is finalised and the first unit could ship as early as next year, the opening piece of a wider family of devices. Altman has floated a suite that may stretch to AI glasses and a pin, and even, per one analyst, a phone whose apps are replaced by agents. The pitch, in a line: a third core device, beside the laptop and the phone, that you talk to and mostly forget is there.
